Where artificial intelligence is involved here
The transparency rules of the EU AI Act have applied since 2 August 2026. Quite apart from that, I think you should know what you are looking at. Here it is — no evasions.
These English pages are machine-translated
The English pages on this site are machine translationsof the German originals. They carry the same information but may read awkwardly. If anything is unclear or contradictory, the German version applies.
This page is the exception: it was written by hand, because a machine-translated notice about machine translation would be a poor joke.
The texts
Some articles are drafted with the help of AI tools — for first drafts, outlines or wording suggestions. Every one of them is read, edited and taken responsibility for by me before it appears here. Nothing is published without my involvement.
It also means this: AI tools make things up. Prices, opening hours and regulations change quickly in Dubai, and no tool knows that reliably. I check what I can — but for entry rules, customs and health, always rely on the official sources linked in the articles.
The images
Most images on this site are real photographs — many taken on location, others from stock agencies and our booking partners.
A few images are generated with AI. Those carry a note directly below the image, or a small AI badge in the corner when they appear on a card.
To be honest: reviewing the image library is still under way. This site holds more than 900 image files, many from years before this labelling requirement, and the files themselves no longer carry any record of their origin. I am working through them and adding labels. At present 37 images are labelled. If you spot one that should carry a note, please tell me.
Where no AI is involved
- The first-hand reports. Where it says „I was there", I was there. Those passages are written by hand.
- The recommendations. Which provider gets named is my decision — no tool, no automated ranking.
- Your data. There is no AI running in the background analysing your behaviour. The site sets no cookies; what is stored is described in the privacy policy.

Write to the address in the imprint. If you notice an image or a statement that is wrong, I will correct it — and say what was changed.
